At approximately 9:45 PM Meridian Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire on the 2800 block of Locust Grove Rd.
Upon arrival, crews determined there was a residential home in flames. All occupants were out of the home when crews arrived. Eleven crews from Meridian and Boise Fire responded and had the fire contained by 10:15PM.
Five (5) residents have been displaced by the fire. The Red Cross has been contacted and assistance is being provided by the Meridian Local 4627 Firefighters Benevolent Fund. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
