City of Meridian issued the following announcement on April 29.
A new student art exhibit will open on Friday, May 6, in the Initial Point Gallery located on the third floor of Meridian City Hall. The show, titled “Framed,” will highlight a variety of original art pieces created by elementary and secondary students as part of the annual West Ada School District Art Show. The show will remain on display through Wednesday, June 1.
The public is invited to view the art and meet several of the young artists at an opening reception to be held Friday, May 6, from 4:30 – 7:00 pm, in the gallery, located at 33 E. Broadway Avenue in downtown Meridian.
Initial Point Gallery, which is curated by the Meridian Arts Commission, features a rotating series of art exhibits highlighting a variety of local, regional, and national artists. It is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding federal holidays.
