U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher has expressed his concerns following the release of the Record of Decision for the final Environmental Impact Statement by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) regarding the Lava Ridge Wind Project in Southern Idaho.
In a statement, Congressman Fulcher criticized the Biden administration's handling of the project, stating, "The Biden administration’s disregard of Idahoans’ clear disapproval of the Lava Ridge Wind Project in Southern Idaho is despicable." He emphasized his stance against federal intervention in state matters, saying, "We cannot let the federal government run roughshod over the State of Idaho."
Looking ahead to January 20, Fulcher indicated his intention to collaborate with the Trump administration to reassess this decision. He aims to safeguard Idaho’s public lands from energy projects that he believes are not viable without market support.
