Gem County Road & Bridge has been working on the Farmer’s Coop Bridge replacement with serval people involved to make this project come to reality. The final piece of the project came from the Idaho Transportation Department with additional funding last year. With this funding from ITD, and Gem County Road & Bridge Dept. budget, and the approval from the Board of County Commissioners. This structure is the first phase of 3 that will be a unique to the process of replacing this bridge. As of now we are moving forward on phase 1 of the replacement project. Gem County Road & Bridge has determined with the help of the manufacture we will need to start on this project. With that said I want to inform you that South Slope Road will be closed from Tom’s Cabin Road to Little Freeze Out Road January 9th to May 26th 2023. Please follow the detours, which will be Bowman Road. I understand the thought of this being a long duration for a road closure, but we will need enough time to complete.
