The City of Meridian’s annual Trunk or Treat event planned for the evening of Thursday, October 27, in downtown Meridian, will necessitate a number of temporary road closures in the downtown area.
The following roads will be closed to all traffic* from 1:00–10:00 pm on Thursday, October 27:
- E. Idaho Avenue from N. Main to E. 3rd Street
- E. Broadway Avenue from N. Main to E. 3rd Street
- NE 2nd Street from E. Broadway Avenue to E. Pine Avenue
*The drivers of vehicles registered to participate in the event will receive instructions from event organizers on when and where to enter the event space.
Meridian’s Trunk or Treat event will take place from 6:00 – 9:00 pm that evening. Motorists are encouraged to take extra care to watch for pedestrians when driving in the downtown area as this annual event traditionally draws several thousand attendees.
A parking map showing a variety of public parking lots in downtown Meridian can be found online at: meridiandowntown.org/downtown-parking. Meridian City Hall’s parking lots may also be used for public parking during the event.
Meridian’s Trunk or Treat event is being coordinated by the Meridian Parks and Recreation Department.
