New Art Exhibit Opens in Meridian City Hall’s Initial Point Gallery; Public Invited to Artist’s Reception

A new art exhibit will open on Friday, August 5, in the Initial Point Gallery located on the third floor of Meridian City Hall. The show will feature works by four Idaho photographers and a ceramic artist and will remain on display through Thursday, September 1. The featured photographers will include Connie Wood of Hagerman, Kris Rehn of Boise, Misti Tracy of Meridian, and Monte Stiles of Boise. Works by Boise ceramic artist Jerry Hendershot will also be on display.

The public is invited to view the art and meet the artists at an opening reception to be held Friday, August 5, from 4:30 – 7:00 pm, in the gallery, located at 33 E. Broadway Avenue in downtown Meridian. Refreshments will be served.

Initial Point Gallery, which is curated by the Meridian Arts Commission, features a rotating series of art exhibits highlighting a variety of local, regional and national artists. It is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding federal holidays. Admission to the gallery and opening reception is free.
