U.S. Representative Russ Fulcher, who represents Idaho’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of updates on social media this week addressing recent policy developments and personal achievements.

On August 6, 2025, Fulcher commented on the cancellation of a major renewable energy initiative in Idaho. He wrote, “The disastrous Lava Ridge Wind Project, greenlit by the Biden administration, has officially been CANCELED. Idahoans have been consistent, clear, and concise—this enormous wind farm which would have blanketed over 57,000 acres of Idaho’s beautiful land was never welcome.”

Two days later, on August 8, Fulcher shared news regarding an award he received from a legislative organization. In his post he stated, “I’m honored to receive the Champion of Limited Government Award from the Institute for Legislative Analysis. As long as I have the privilege of serving Idahoans in Congress, I will always fight for legislation that protects Americans’ constitutional freedoms and reduces the size”.

Later that same day, Fulcher referenced significant private sector investment commitments made in the United States since President Biden took office. He wrote: “Over $8 trillion has been committed to the U.S. in private sector investment since @POTUS reassumed office.
• Apple $600 billion
• NVIDIA $500 billion
• Project Stargate $500 billion
• Micron Technology $200 billion
• IBM $150 billion
• John Deere $20 billion
• General”
.

Fulcher has served as Idaho’s 1st District representative since 2019 after previously working in the Idaho Senate from 2005 to 2014. Born in Boise in 1962 and currently residing in Meridian at age 61, Fulcher is also an alumnus of Boise State University.
