Rep. Russ Fulcher, who represents Idaho’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on legislative efforts and federal actions through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On September 3, 2025, Fulcher announced his support for bipartisan legislation aimed at protecting foreign-born religious workers. In his post, he stated, “I am proud to sign on to the bipartisan Religious Workforce Protection Act, H.R. 2672. Foreign-born priests, ministers, and qualified religious workers serving in congregations across America—and right here in Idaho—should not be penalized due to a federal bureaucratic backlog” (September 3, 2025).

Later that day, Fulcher addressed the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein and expressed support for ongoing congressional oversight. He wrote, “The Epstein files must be released, and those who abused vulnerable young people must be held accountable. I fully support the actions being led by House Oversight Chairman @RepJamesComer to do just that. Last night, 33,295 pages of Epstein-related records were made public,” (September 3, 2025).

On September 4, Fulcher highlighted his vote in favor of advancing appropriations focused on domestic resource security. He stated: “I voted to advance the Energy and Water Appropriations Bill. This legislation prioritizes domestic critical mining for materials and minerals, ensuring America’s supply chains are not reliant on foreign adversaries for the building blocks that make up today’s advanced” (September 4, 2025).

Russ Fulcher has served as Idaho’s representative in Congress since replacing Raúl Labrador in 2019 and previously held office in the Idaho Senate from 2005 to 2014. Born in Boise in 1962 and currently residing in Meridian at age 61, Fulcher is an alumnus of Boise State University with degrees earned in both 1984 and 1988.
